    WHAT IS NSE

     In India, There are Total 9 Recognized stock exchange in                 which national stock exchange (NSE) is highly derivative                 traded exchange & 2nd largest stock exchange of India. It                  came into the picture in the year 1992 and make registered               itself with Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in  April , 1993 and commenced operation in year 1994.

    2). NSE Clearing Ltd ( also known as National Securities Clearing Corporation Ltd), NSE Clearing, a wholly owned subsidiary of NSE is responsible for all clearing & settlement of trade in national stock exchange
    for eg.
    if Mr. A place an order to buy Reliance Ltd 1 share at 1450 where Mr. B sale 1 share at 1450
    than Clearing houses play there role that time they debit the debit the account of Mr. A and credit the account of Mr. B same time all that process in milisecond.
    It was set up with the following objectives:
    •  Maintain Confidentiality while clearing & settlement of securities
    • Highly efficient due to which shorter settlement cycle;
    • to provide counter-party risk guarantee (because default for other party is not possible), and
    • to operate a tight risk containment system.

    5) NSE Indices Ltd (formerly known as India Index Services & Products Limited), or NSE Indices, owns and manages a portfolio of 67 indices under the NIFTY brand as of September 30, 2016, including NIFTY 50. NIFTY indices are used as benchmarks for products traded on NSE. NIFTY indices served as the benchmark index for 38 ETFs listed in India and 12 ETFs listed abroad as of September 30, 2016. Derivatives benchmarked to NIFTY indices were also available for trading on four international stock exchanges as of November 30, 2016, pursuant to cross-listing arrangements and license agreements with the Singapore Exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Taiwan Futures Exchange and the Osaka Securities Exchange.

    6) NSE IFSC Ltd (NSE IFSC) is a fully owned subsidiary company of National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and applied to the SEBI for in-principle approval to establish an international exchange in Gujarat International Finance Tech City - International Financial Service Centre.
    GIFT city, which is a special economic zone, shall host India's first international financial services centre.

    7) NSE IFSC Clearing Corporation Ltd (NSE International Clearing) is a fully owned subsidiary of NSE Clearing Ltd (formerly known as National Securities Clearing Corporation Ltd) (NSE Clearing). NSE International Clearing has received recognition as a Clearing Corporation under Regulation 4 of Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2012 and Securities and Exchange Board of India (International Financial Services Centres) Guidelines, 2015.

    8) NSE Investments Ltd (NSE Investments), a wholly owned subsidiary of NSE, was incorporated to, inter alia, make/hold strategic investments in the equity shares and/or other securities of NSE group companies.
    NSE Investments is the primary CIC arm of NSE to explore investment opportunities in Technology, Indices, Education, Private Marketplaces & Exchanges, Payments, Database Services, Trading Platform, Exchange, Machine Learning, among others.
